Levelling up is the best moment in the game, and it shouldn't mean an hour with the rulebook. Critsmith walks you through every choice, one step at a time.
Start the level up
When you can level, a Level up button appears on your sheet. In an XP campaign, that's when you've earned enough XP. In a milestone campaign, it's when your Game Master grants you a level. Press Level up.
You have enough XP to reach level 4.

Choose a class
If you play more than one class, or could start a new one, first choose which class goes up a level.

Hit points
Then come the steps. Hit points first. Depending on your campaign, the app gives you the average or the maximum, or you roll and type in your new total, and it tells you the most you can add.
Hit points
i
This level adds about 8 HP (average of a d10 hit die plus your Constitution modifier of +2). If you rolled instead, the most you can add this level is 12 (a maximum roll of 10 plus +2).
New HP max
37
Your HP now goes up by the same amount as your HP max. Your DM tracks hit points in this campaign.

Ability boost or feat
Next, an ability boost or a feat, at the levels that give one. Add two points to your scores, or take a feat you qualify for instead, with its own choices.
Ability Score Improvement (level 4)i
Take the ability boost, or another feat you qualify for.
