Inspiration and rests
Running a session · guide 5 of 7
Two buttons at the top of the Run screen keep track of the things that are easy to lose mid-session: who has inspiration, and who has rested. No more notes on scraps of paper.
Give inspiration
Press Give inspiration. It lists the active characters in your campaign. Press Give beside a name, and that character has Heroic Inspiration.
A character holds one at a time, so anyone who already has it shows Has inspiration instead of a Give button. The list stays open, so you can reward someone else straight away.
On their sheet, the player sees You have it, with a Spend button. Once they spend it, you can give it again.
And every gift goes in the session log for you.
Rest the party
When the party stops to rest, press Rest. The characters at the table are already ticked, so untick anyone who missed it. These are the same at-the-table ticks the generators use, so tick them back in when they return.
Short Rest
A Short Rest brings back Pact Magic slots and anything that comes back on a Short Rest. Players spend their hit dice on their own sheets.
Long Rest
A Long Rest brings everyone back to full hit points, with all their hit dice, spell slots and uses. Exhaustion drops by one, and spells still running end. A Human gets Heroic Inspiration back, as their rules say.
Every sheet is updated
Press the rest you want. A green line confirms who rested, and the session log notes it too. Every sheet is updated at once, so nobody has to work out what came back.
Reward your players, rest the party, and let Critsmith keep track.
