What a character carries, how much experience they've earned, and when they go up a level. Critsmith keeps all three in step, so you never have to wonder who has what.

Inventory
Under In play, Inventory lists everything the character carries. To give them something, go to Add from the library, choose the item and how many, and press Add. For something the library doesn't have, press Add your own item.

Add
Add from the library: the item and how many
For magic armour and weapons, or anything typed by hand, open Item details and say which armour or weapon it is. Give it an armour class bonus or a weapon bonus, and press Save. Its numbers then flow into the sheet by themselves.
Which armour or weapon is this?
Longsword (martial melee, 1d8 slashing)▾
An item typed by hand counts as armour, or gets an attack, only once you say what it is.
AC bonus (0 for none)
−0+
Armour and shields add it while worn; anything else while carried. If the item needs attunement, only once attuned.
Weapon bonus (0 for none)
−1+
A weapon adds it to its attack and damage rolls, such as +1 for a +1 Longsword. If the item needs attunement, only once attuned.

Taking an item back, or selling it
Taking something back? Press Return to DM stock, choosing how many. Or sell it for them: pick a shop, type a price, and press Sell. The gold goes to the character, and comes out of the shop's own gold.

Levelling up
Then levelling up. In a milestone campaign, press Level up here. In an XP campaign, the player levels up from their own sheet, once they have enough XP.
First, choose which class goes up a level, or start a new class at level one, if their scores allow it.
Which class gains this level, and the classes not allowed yet
Then come the steps: hit points, which follow your campaign settings, an ability boost or a feat, subclass and class choices, new spells, and Weapon Mastery. A step with nothing to choose simply says so. Press Next through each one, and Confirm level up at the end.
