The generators page
Useful tools · guide 1 of 3
When the party wanders somewhere you didn't plan for, you need something fast. The generators page puts every generator in one place, so you can roll what you need in seconds.
Open the generators page
From the Run screen, press the Generators tile.
The five generators
There are five. Travel encounter rolls one from a built-in table of two hundred, skipping any you've marked as used. Loot rolls coins, gear and a chance at a magic item. NPC rolls a ready-to-use character, with a look, a personality and a suggested stat block. Dungeon rolls a whole dungeon, map and all. And Shop rolls a shop or a tavern, with its keeper and its stock.
Roll as often as you like
Press a tile to open that generator. Every roll is shown to you first, and nothing is added to your campaign until you choose to keep it. So roll as often as you like.
Size the roll for your party
The loot, shop and dungeon generators, and the fight generator too, are sized for your party. Under At the table, tick the characters who are playing tonight. Their levels fill the Party levels box, and that's what the roll is built for.
Your ticks are saved, so the same party is ready in every generator next time. And when a player claims their character, it's ticked for you.
Playing with a guest, or testing a bigger fight? Type the levels into the box yourself, like 3, 3, 4. To go back to your real party, press Use my party.
Each generator has its own guide, showing it step by step.
Whatever the party throws at you, you've got an answer ready.
