Approving your players' homebrew

Homebrew · guide 11 of 11

Players have great ideas too. When one of them makes their own homebrew, it comes to you first, so nothing joins your game without your say-so.

Find what's waiting

When something is waiting, your Build page's Homebrew tile says so. Press it, and look under Waiting for you. Open an entry to read it.

You see it exactly as your player filled it in. You can't change it, only answer, so it stays their work.

Approve it

Press Approve, and their characters in that campaign can use it. If it's a magic item or a piece of equipment, you can also tick a character to give them one, straight into their inventory.

Send it back

Not quite right? Type a note saying what needs changing, and press Send back. They can change it and send it again.

Changes to something you approved

If they change something you've already approved, it comes back to you. Approve it, and their characters move to the new version.

Withdraw it

Changed your mind later? Under Approved for my campaigns, press Withdraw. Nothing new can pick it, and characters who already have it keep it, with a note asking them to choose a replacement.

Add it to your library

Love it so much you want it in every campaign? Press Add to my library. It's copied into your own homebrew, for you to change and use anywhere, and their characters in your campaigns move to your copy.

That's approving your players' homebrew. Their creativity, your table, and you stay in charge.
